Summary

The Trufl Restaurant App is the corresponding business tool to the Trufl Consumer App. As the Trufl Consumer App allows guests to skip wait times, make reservations, and order to-go; the Trufl Restaurant App updates restaurant employees on these activities.

Solution

We sorted out all the persona user stories and stakeholder requirements, and developed them into an organized taxonomy within a consolidated restaurant facing app.

Restaurant hosts and managers alike will have simpler day to day customer management flow.

Problem

Restaurant hosts need means to receive incoming reservations, monitor diner statuses, make incoming reservations, view current service details, and contact guests.

Restaurant managers need means to create floorplans, view statistics, edit menu, edit restaurant information, and much more within one concise app.

My role

I was the UX designer on a team of 2 visual designers to design the new Trufl Restaurant app. I was involved from the second sprint of the project, although much time had passed and there were completely new requirements and user stories to decipher. I created a user flow and sitemap, as well as wireframes. Through many iterations we settled on a visual design. I met with stakeholders and our offshore development team to translate our designs.

Guest Statuses

13 dining statuses.

I tried to simplify to 3, but there was stakeholder pushback, so I found a way to make 13 work.
